Privacy

snipit.sh is a no-account paste service. We do not create user logins, profiles, or billing records.

What we store: the snippet you submit (code, text, or a file), plus optional title, language, expiry, password protection, and burn-after-read. Content is encrypted at rest with AES-256. We keep it until it expires, is burned after reading, or is removed as abuse.

What we use to run the service: the public snippet URL, and your IP for rate limits (see /docs). We do not sell this data.

What we do not claim: this is not a zero-knowledge vault. Encryption at rest is not the same as “we cannot read anything.” Do not put long-lived secrets here if expiry or burn-after-read would not be enough.
